August meeting minutes

1 Minutes of Meeting – Monday 6th August 2018 – 8pm at the The Vicarage, Holmes Chapel Present approx 12 members including the committee Apologies: Katie Newport Chairman’s Report – Joy Joy chaired the meeting and welcomed everyone • The minutes from 2nd July 2018 meeting were accepted • Pat is addressing an issue with Cranage 18 bridlepath which is marked as a footpath although it has been used as a bridleway for over 60 years. claim has now been sent in • Big thank you to Jonathan and Anndrea Bosson’s for hosting our dog agility competition. This was very well attended and great fun. Next year we will film and share this on facebook • Picnic ride on delamere was wonderful – 16 people attended with their beautifully behaved horses, it was fantastic weather and a lovely ride. • Thanks to Tori, Pat and Ken for helping at the dressage which went well • The Secretary of state has again told Staffordshire that they need to address the outstanding claims • The agriculture bill is a big opportunity to get more off road riding but we have to act now. BHS have released a template for a letter which can be sent to your mp. • http://www.bhs.org.uk/our-charity/press-centre/news/2018/august/bhs-callsequestrians-to-lobby-mps-for-off-road-access • There is the potential for farmers to open paths across their land in return for payment. Instructor: Sarah Johnson Cost £13 Daytime lessons spaces available at Alsager on Tuesday 10.30 – 11.30 Contact Pat Dressage: at Alsager Equestrian Centre on Monday evenings, Monday 17th September. We start at 6.30 and will try to accommodate people who need an early or later time. Entry fees are £12 to members and £14 to non members. Times will be on the website on the preceding Sunday.
