July meeting minutes

1 Minutes of Meeting – Monday 4th June 2018 – 8pm at the The Vicarage, Holmes Chapel Present approx 16 members including the committee Apologies: Carol Burns, Jan Dobson Chairman’s Report – Joy Joy chaired the meeting and welcomed everyone • The minutes from 4th June 2018 meeting were accepted • Joy has written a letter to chronicle highlighting that Biddulph Valley Way is used for horses as well – a point which is often forgotten! • A member has hi lighted some concerns with a Bridleway in Lower Withington (from Congleton rd to Lapwing Lane). We need to be aware of the problems and watch and share information on any plans going in • Dressage on Monday 9th July. Only 2 entires to date – hopefully more to come in • XC at Smallwood went really well • Pat is addressing an issue with Cranage 18 bridlepath which is marked as a footpath although it has been used as a bridleway for over 60 years. A property has recently changed hands and the new owners installed fencing. Pat has collected evidence which will soon be sent off • Whitegate Way ride is being run by Cheshire EGB 23rd July Treasurer’s report – Maggie Marincovic Deposit a/c 10671.53 Cash 15 Current a/c 7068.81 Total 17755.34 Membership- Katie This year so far we have: 65 renewed adults, 11 honorary, 3 juniors Social Report – Pat Guerin • Dog agility on 14th July at Andreas starting at 6-6.30pm – always a fun night so please come along • Picnic ride Delemere Sat 4 August 11am meet in White field car park. You will need 5 £1 coins. Please let Marjory know if you are attending or respond to the facebook event • Thursday evening flatwork lessons are currently full but please contact Jan if you interested in case odd spaces become available • It as agreed to organise more polework and drill riding sessions at Hunters Gate after holiday season • SJ is now busy as well with a range of abilities and so the groups have been split so please check times on the website or face book. Instructor: Sarah Johnson Cost £13 Daytime lessons spaces available at Alsager on Tuesday 10.30 – 11.30 Contact Pat Dressage: at Alsager Equestrian Centre on Monday evenings, Monday 9th July. We start at 6.30 and will try to accommodate people who need an early or later time. Entry fees are £12 to members and £14 to non members. Times will be on the website on the preceding Sunday. Entries and enquiries to [email protected] It is an indoor competition with an outdoor working in area. The classes are: Intro B, Preliminary 13,Novice 34 and Elementary 44 Dog agility and barbecue 14 July. This is, very kindly, held at the home of Mr and Mrs Jonathon Bossens, Puddlebank, Congleton Edge Road, Mossley, Congleton CW12 3NB. We hold a raffle and have rosettes and small prizes for the dog agility, normally best male handler, best female and best junior. We make a small charge of £5 for burgers and hot dogs. We ask everyone to bring a dish of savoury or sweet food
