Minutes of Meeting – Monday 4 th February 2019 – 8pm at the The Vicarage, Holmes Chapel Present approx 40 members including the committee Apologies: Chairman’s Report – Joy Joy chaired the meeting and welcomed everyone • The minutes from 1 st November 2018 meeting were accepted • Dressage went well and was enjoyed by all. Next competition will be 11 March • Work continues on the Staffordshire rights of way claims. • There is a huge amount of development around Congleton and we need to get involved and ensure riders interests are taken into account • Three day Course 29 April – 1 May • Please do get in touch soon if you are interested in attending. We may be able to run an extra group this year • Please also get in touch if you could come and help • On the last day (1 May) we do the farm ride which is open to people who do not attend camp – please contact Liz if you are interested as there is a group rate available • The AGM will be held on Monday 29 April at Somerford. Please let us know if you would like to come for the meal which will be £8 • Caroline Barker gave us a wonderful talk based on her experience of buying her horse – as documented in her book ‘Mid life crisis horse: An honest account of buying my own horse. Warts and all’. Treasurer’s report – Maggie Marincovic Cash 10 Cash in bank 19504.58 Membership 81 adults, 11 honorary, 3 juniors – Renewals have started to come in for this year with quite a few new members Social Report – Pat Guerin • SJ lessons are continuing on Wednesday evening – please contact Joy if you are interested in attending as there are some slots available. • Thursday evening flatwork lessons have spaces so please contact Jan if you are interested • Polework – There will be a drill riding over poles session on 2 and 30 March and polework / working equitation on 23 Feb and 23 March.
