Minutes from General Meeting held at The Harrington Arms, 3rd February, 2020

Minutes of Meeting – Tuesday 3rd February 2020 – 8pm at the The Harrington Arms, Bosley Present approx 20 members including the committee Apologies: Katie Newport, Jan Dobson, Carol Burns, Sandre Jackson Chairman’s Report – Joy Joy chaired the meeting and welcomed everyone • The minutes from 12th November 2019 meeting were accepted • There are ongoing issues related to the link road where we need to maintain access. Sandy lane will be re-opening as a multi user path and horse riders have been recognised • Some members are now involved in Friends of Biddulph valley Way – there will be a meeting to discuss on 19 March at Biddulph town hall at 6.30pm. It would be good to have good support for this from horse riders • Freehay Social Ride is 22 February – details on Derbyshire EGB website • Work ensuring that Staffordshire Council progress the rights of way claims is continuing. There has still been no progress on the outstanding claims • Group lesson tomorrow at Alsager at 10.30 – there are often vacancies, please contact Pat if you would like to come • Cheshire EGB are organizing the Congleton ride again this year on 17 November. • Camp will be 27-29 April and 10 people have paid deposits already. Please let Liz know asap if you would like to attend • Goostrey Bridleways – turkey farm path – there is ongoing work getting this recognized as bridlepath • Pat gave a brilliant talk about her riding holidays around the world Treasurer’s report – Maggie Marincovic Cash 10 Account 19607.15 Total 19617.15 Membership Memberships are starting to come in 87 adults, 11 honorary, 3 juniors Social Report – Pat Guerin • SJ lessons are continuing on Wednesday evening – please contact Joy if you are interested in attending as there are some slots available. • Thursday evening flatwork lessons have now been split into 2 sessions. Occasional vacancies occur, contact Jan if interested. • Polework – There will be sessions on 8th,15th and 29th February. • Cheshire Endurance are running the Weaver navigation pleasure ride on 5th April Cheshire endurance AOB • BHS have devised some temporary signs to help with road safety in certain problem areas. Andrea is trying to get hold of some to be used in our area • There was a request to run some flatwork lessons at Adlington. This could be supported by the BBA and some local members volunteered to collect further information and devise a plan to run these in an evening Next meeting: AGM at Somerford 27 April
