Minutes of Meeting – Monday 7 th October 2019 – 8pm at the The Waggon and Horses Present approx 20 members including the committee Apologies: Jean Spearing, Rachel Garlick, Pat Guerin Chairman’s Report – Joy Joy chaired the meeting and welcomed everyone • The minutes from 1 st July 2019 meeting were accepted • Unfortunately the Delamere Picnic ride was cancelled due to the forecasted thunder and lightening. • The Apedale / Silverdale Ride in aid of BHS ride out went very well. It was a lovely off road route and nice weather as well • The annual BBQ and dog agility went well this year. Thanks to everyone who came and those who organized it. • Cheshire EGB are organizing the Congleton ride again this year on 17 November. • The Christmas meal will be on Wednesday 11 December at the Heyrose Golf Club. Please pay via BACS at time of booking £23 per person. Email menu choices to [email protected] • Thanks to Pat Amies for campaigning to allow access to the path behind Wagon and Horses to connect a bridlepath to a quiet road avoiding the need to ride on the A34. A great success! • Staffordshire council were instructed to resolve outstanding claims on 120 rights of way over a year ago. They have done now and this will now being progressing down legal channels. • In Scotland all paths are now multi user. Consideration is now being given to the same approach being used in England which could have a big impact Treasurer’s report – Maggie Marincovic Cash 10 Total 19333.32 Membership 87 adults, 11 honorary, 3 juniors Social Report – Pat Guerin • SJ lessons are continuing on Wednesday evening – please contact Joy if you are interested in attending as there are some slots available. • Thursday evening flatwork lessons are now full and so Jan is looking to extend the booking to allow more riders to attend. • Polework – There will be sessions on October 13th and 26th . • Congleton ride 17 November – see Cheshire EGB website • Watertower ride – there is another problem at the gateway with electric fencing AOB Next meeting: at the Christmas meal Wednesday 11 December at Heyrose Golf club
