1 Minutes of Meeting – Monday 5th March 2018 – 8pm at the The Old Vicarage, Holmes Chapel Present approx 14 members including the committee Apologies: Carol Burns, Jo Harris, Marjory Higgs Chairman’s Report – Joy Joy chaired the meeting and welcomed everyone • Dressage competition will be on 26 March in the evening – this will be held instead of a meeting. Liz will be available at the dressage if anyone wants to pay camp balance or discuss camp issues with Liz • SJ, flat lessons and pole work currently running well • XC at Smallwood booked 6 June and we have an opportunity to run further sessions through the summer if there is demand • Beetle Drive was very successful evening – well done Pat • Dog agility will be on 14 July. • Camp – is filling up well, please let Liz know asap if you are interested. Please let us know if you could help • Discussed Horse Money and the new charges. Horse monkey charges (£1.50 per entry) which is paid by the entrant and there is now also a card fee charged by stripe (1.4% eg 40p on a £13 event). We agreed to continue using horse monkey at the moment for our lessons but not to allow camp balance payments or memberships. We can accept camp balance payments by BACS if people do not have cheques. There was a suggestion that we try to get involved in these discussions to open it to horse riders too. Next meeting: AGM 23 April at Somerford during the course. Instructor: Sarah Johnson Cost £13 Daytime lessons spaces available at Alsager on Tuesday 10.30 – 11.30 Contact Pat Dressage: at Alsager Equestrian Centre on Monday evenings, 26th March and Monday 9th July. We start at 6.30 and will try to accommodate people who need an early or later time. Entry fees are £12 to members and £14 to non members. Times will be on the website on the preceding Sunday. Entries and enquiries to [email protected] It is an indoor competition with an outdoor working in area. The classes are: Intro A, Preliminary 18 and Novice 28 for March Intro B, Preliminary 13 and Novice 34 for July XC schooling at Smallwood – evening session of cross country schooling with Joy Toomer at Smallwood Livery Centre at 6.30pm on 6th June. The entry fee will be £25. Body protectors must be worn. Entries to Pat Guerin [email protected] BBA course will be 23-25 April Dog agility and barbecue 14 July. This is, very kindly, held at the home of Mr and Mrs Jonathon Bossens, Puddlebank, Congleton Edge Road, Mossley, Congleton CW12 3NB. We hold a raffle and have rosettes and small prizes for the dog agility, normally best male handler, best female and best junior. We make a small charge of £5 for burgers and hot dogs. We ask everyone to bring a dish of savoury or sweet food
