Rights of Way Consultative Group Meeting 6th October
Please let Joy, Honor or Kristine know if you would like to represent us at this meeting.
Dear Rights of Way Consultative Group attendee
As we transition from summer into autumn, the weather is starting to change noticeably. The dry summer months have given everyone plenty of chances to explore and enjoy the many public rights of way across the borough, each offering its own unique scenery and experiences.
The value of our public rights of way is being highlighted in the updated Rights of Way Improvement Plan, which Genni is currently refreshing. I’ve had the chance to join some of Genni’s internal consultations, and it’s been encouraging to see just how enthusiastic colleagues are about the network. Everyone recognises the many benefits the public rights of way can bring—from encouraging physical activity and supporting people’s health and wellbeing, to providing safe options for active travel and enhancing our green spaces.
To let us know about issues, please do continue to use our online problem report form which includes details we need up front to identify the location and the nature of the issue so we can seek to resolve it as soon as possible. As ever, please feel free to share the Online problem report form link, along with that for What to expect when out on the network, with your wider contacts
March Rights of Way Consultative Group Meeting – Call for Agenda items
I’m pleased to welcome Cllr Liz Braithwaite to the Rights of Way Consultative Group. Cllr Braithwaite will be joining us for our next meeting at 9:30am on Wednesday 8th October which will be held via Teams. Cllr Braithwaite is the Vice Chair of the Highways & Transport Committee and already has a good understanding of the work we do in Public Rights of Way. We’re delighted that she’ll be chairing the meeting.
Ahead of our meeting, if you have a particular issue or question you would like to raise and add to the agenda for discussion, can you please email me your requests by Friday 3rd October. The finalised agenda and papers will be circulated on Monday 6th October with the Teams appointment.
In the meantime, thank you for your continued support for the public rights of way in Cheshire East.
